One-on-One with the Conrads
Why did you decide to join full-time staff?
Carol and I were at a crossroads of ministry. It was clear our time with Missionary Athletes International was done and we needed direction. God gave us the energy and vision to start UW Sports Ministry as an equipping ministry to show churches to use sports as a ministry tool.
What is a favorite ministry moment?
When we opened the bank account for UW in 1996 the local bank let us open the account with no money – a zero balance – that was what we had at the moment, nothing. God has been faithful to supply all we need all these years and I am confident he will continue to do so.
What is the one area of the world that you would most like to visit?
Carol and I have traveled the world in ministry but we have never been to the Sub-Sahara together even though we have done ministry there for years. Maybe there is still a big Africa ministry trip left in us – only God knows.
What is your favorite sports team?
Team USA – Soccer – Men or Women
What do you do for fun?
Tim enjoys golfing, fishing and watching sports while Carol likes to read, hunt for bargains at thrift stores and watch World Cup Soccer and college football.
